What affects the price?
Cost depends on the number of workflows involved, data readiness, system integrations, governance requirements, training needs and whether the work is advisory or includes implementation.
Start with a clearly scoped question
A free discovery conversation can clarify the business problem. Adapting Services also offers a free online Process Scan, which is distinct from its paid, more detailed Process Review.
What should a proposal include?
Ask for a written scope, deliverables, assumptions, timelines, responsibilities, data-handling requirements and a clear change-request process. Compare proposals on outcomes and support, not only hourly rates.
How to assess value
Estimate the current cost of a workflow using actual task volumes and staff time. Include implementation, review, training and maintenance costs. Treat potential savings as estimates until a pilot validates them.
Questions to ask a consultant
Who owns the deliverables? How will sensitive data be handled? What requires human approval? What happens if the pilot does not meet its targets? How will staff be trained?
For an accurate price, begin with a discovery call and request a written scope. Avoid treating generic industry pricing as a firm quote for your organization.
